Happy Feet and Happy New Year!

Feet and Leg

feet-leg-bones

Understanding the mechanics of your feet in yoga and the patterns in your foot health is the first step to establishing a solid foundation in your yoga practice.

At this time of year (winter in northern hemisphere) it is easy to forget one has feet, as they are bound up in thick socks and boots for several months. Yes, they do peek out for a short time when you visit your mat for a practice and might even complain to you, but you quickly wrap them up again and they quieten down till the next time!

In this video, there are many foot exercises to choose from. Take one or two and include them in your daily practice. Depending on the condition of your feet may dictate where you want to put them...beginning, middle or end!

I will caution you not to do all at one time if your feet/ankles/lower limbs are not used to some of these actions.

Try some, see how your feet and legs feel then proceed.

Your feet will reward you with years of pain free and injury free support.

Wishing you a year with
New dreams
New hopes
New perspectives
New goals
New aspirations
HAPPY 2018!
